Have you ever heard the word “五月病”(Gogatsubyo)?
As we referred to the topic in the previous article, most companies and schools start the new business/school year in April. We are full of hopes, but anxious, nervous and tired at the same time in the new environment.
Therefore, we are very happy to welcome the long holidays called “Golden Week”. However, it is often the case that we feel tired and don’t want to go to school or work after the long holidays.
This type of mood is called “五月病” (Gogatsubyo, literally “May sickness”)
Here are the tips of preventing “五月病”
・Live a regular life by fixing a time of getting up and going to bed.
(You should not stay up late or have too much sleep!)
・Take some exercise.
(Studying is important, but you also need some fresh air.)
・Keep in touch with your family and friends.
It will get much hotter in May, so please remember to drink enough water.
