What is the aim of your Japanese study?

I want to really understand the Japanese culture so I started by studying the language.

Why did you choose YIEA?

First, my friend recommended the school to me. I then searched the Internet and found a lot of positive comments about how supportive the teachers are so I chose this school.

How would you describe the life in Tokyo?

Very lively. Of course there are inconveniences since I’m a foreigner but people are always helpful. I am enjoying my life here and would love for it to go on longer.

Was it difficult to find a part-time job?

I was worried at first but everyone was kind and very accepting of me even though my Japanese was still mediocre.

What’s good about working a part-time job? What’s bad?

Obviously, having an income is good. Beside that, it’s really the best way to make new friends. Work can get very busy but I think it’s worth the experience.

What do you do in your spare time?

I check out places both in Tokyo and the surrounding prefectures. During school breaks, I travel further to places such as Mt. Fuji. Also, I love cars so I often go see modified cars.

Compared to other schools, I thought it was nice.

Life can be difficult but people around me are all kind.

It gets increasingly easier as your Japanese gets better.

What’s good about working a part-time job? What’s bad?

Very busy, but I enjoy it.

What do you do in your spare time?

I either study at home or meet up with friends.

Expensive. The quality of customers services is the best in the world though.

I was able to make friends with a lot of Japanese.

I go out with my friends and explore Tokyo.

I am having fun every day.

It took me a little time to find a good job.

It was hard to memorize the menu but the job gives me a lot of opportunities to talk with Japanese people.

I also go to a cram school so most of my time is spent studying.
