Student Visa

Application Procedure

Please submit all required documents with the non-refundable application fee either in person or by mail.

*For the “purpose and reason” section, be as specific as possible about your academic motivation and post-study plans.

Diploma (original or certified copy)
*Students who are about to graduate must submit a statement of expected graduation from their current school, as well as a diploma from the last school they graduated from.
Record of Japanese language study
*JLPT N5 level or over 150 study hours
6 photographs (4 x 3 cm)
*Indicate name, nationality and birth date on the back.
Passport copy
*Copy all pages that have information printed or stamped on them.
Financial support documents
a. Supported by parent / guardian
  1 Statement of Financial Support (written and signed by the person offering support) Download

*An account balance equal to or above the equivalent of 3 million yen is standard for 2 years study.

4 Family register or birth certificate that shows the relationship between the applicant and their parent / guardian

*Business owner / self employed: business registration / license.
4 Income tax record
*Must show total earnings for the most recent three years.
5 Resident records for the whole household
*Foreigners living in Japan must submit a copy of the residence card.
6 Certificate of seal impression

*All of the above documents must be submitted in the original. Documents issued within 3 months of submission time only.
All documents must be submitted with Japanese translations.
*In case where a corporation/ organization is paying for the study of an employee, please contact us for details.
*Additional documents may be required based on the administrative guidance of the Japanese government.

Notes:

  1. All bank transfers must be made in the name of the student.
  2. Enrollees must complete payment of all school fees for the first year before receiving the “Certificate of Eligibility”. Students who start in January must pay for their full 1 year & 3 months of study in one payment. Payment in installments is only permitted in special situations.
  3. Tuitions and school fees are non-refundable; exceptions are as stated by the  “Guidelines for Acceptance of Students by Japanese Language Institutes”.
  4. Students with student visa are enrolled in student insurance for the duration of their enrollment. Additionally, they are required to be enrolled in national health insurance.

*Terms of the student insurance may be subject to change at the behest of the provider.
*Tuition will be adjusted in the event of changes to the consumer tax rate.

  3. It is the student’s responsibility to secure health & accident insurances valid for the duration of their stay in Japan.
  4. We can issue the “Letter of Admission” and/or the “Course Schedule” upon request. No other documents can be issued by the school.  Before you apply, please check with the Japanese consulates in your country to make sure you are eligible for a visa.
