We have received a lot of good news from our students!
This time we interviewed a student who would be admitted to a graduate school.
Seminar 1 Xia Jihai
Graduate School of Showa Pharmaceutical University
Q1.What are you going to research at the graduate school?
A: Pharmacy. I’m going to do research on mechanism of cancer and development of drugs to treat the disease.
Q2. What were the exam subjects?
A: Written tests (specialized knowledge and English) and interview.
Q3. Why do you think you passed the exam?
A: I tried to answer the question more clearly by explaining the knowledge by using figures and illustrations. I think I communicated well with the professor during the interview.
Although I didn’t perform well in English exam, I think I could make up for the disadvantages.
Q4. Do you have any regrets about the exam?
A: If I had studied English harder, I could have had more options regarding choosing a school.
Q5. Please give us some advice.
A: Having Japanese skills is a solid foundation for a better future. If you have English skills as well, you will have more chances.
Try to think about what you can do from what you have learned in your country, and you will find something important.
In addition, I like speaking Japanese, so I would often talk with my teachers after school. I’m convinced this experience gave me enough confidence in the interview exam.
Thank you very much for your advice!
We hope you will enjoy your student life in YIEA until next March🌟
