International students are allowed to work part-time in Japan after getting “Permission to engage in an activity other than those permitted by the status of residence previously granted”
Some have a part-time job to broaden work experience in Japan, others save money for the future. International students can work up to 28 hours per week. There are various choices for them to work at, such as restaurants, convenience stores, schools to teach a foreign language to Japanese and so on.
Many of our students have improved their Japanese language skills by communicating with Japanese co-workers and customers! It seems that they have learned a lot from work experience☺
