Kikusakizuki(きくさきづき/菊開月)

Origin:Hardy mums, loved by Japanese people, generally come out in September.
※”菊” means “hardy mums”, “開” means “to open”.

Nezamezuki(ねざめづき/寝覚月)
Origin:When September comes, the days becomes much shorter. Therefore, more people wake up before the dawn.
※”寝覚” means “to wake up”


Seijozuki(せいじょづき/青女月)
Origin:”青女” means the name of the goddess described “淮南子”, an ancient Chinese text.
It also means snow or frost.
