Hinamatsuri (Doll’s Festival)

Hinamatsuri, celebrated on March 3^rd, is an occasion to pray for young girls’ growth and happiness.

Most families with girls celebrate the day by displaying a set of dolls and eating Scattered Sushi, clam soup and sweet rice crackers called Hinaarare.
