It is said that each ornament has a different meaning.
A star ornament means “hope” 
A bauble ornament means an apple, which symbolizes “knowledge”. 
An Illumination ornament, which candles were originally used as, means a “shining star” in the sky.
A Christmas tree was decorated for the first time in Japan (Yokohama) on December 7th, 1886.
That’s why December 7th is “Christmas Tree Day” in Japan.
It seems that Japanese people like celebrating lots of anniversaries.
