The first measures for avoiding「New Coronavirus」(January-February 2020)

As Human-to human transmission of the New Coronavirus has been reported in Wuhan and many other cities in China, YIEA is taking measures as follows.

 

Wuhan was put under lockdown on January 23rd

1)Recommend hand washing and gargling, put a hand sanitizer, open the windows and doors frequently.

2)Make sure there are enough thermometers available in stock.

3)Supply teachers with a mask releasing chlorine dioxide.

4)Record who left Japan in January.

Students re-entering Japan from Hubei province are prohibited to come to school for 2 weeks and required to measure body temperature everyday in that period.

 

Japanese government started refusing entry from Hubei province on February 1st

1)Clean with a sanitizer everyday (desks, door knobs, stair handrails, elevator buttons)

2)Put a Cleverin (Chlorine dioxide) in every classroom.

3)Advise students not to meet those recently coming from areas where the virus is spreading widely.

4)Ask teachers and students to refrain from visiting China.

5)Students re-entering Japan from China are prohibited to come to school for 2 weeks and required to measure body temperature everyday in that period.

6)Store sanitizers.

 

We may change the above-mentioned in accordance with the situation, and the latest prevention measures announced by the government. The virus is not spreading widely in Japan, and only 25 infectious cases have been confirmed so far.

(The British cruise ship, Diamond Princess has been quarantined in Japan since February 3rd, and 61 infectious cases have been confirmed so far.)
