October 15th is National Mushroom Day in Japan. A variety of mushrooms, such as Shiitake, Maitake, Shimeji and king oyster mushrooms is sold at grocery stores. Although Matsutake, the most expensive among all the mushrooms, are beyond my purse, I used some other mushrooms to make soup and seasoned rice!
